If you are reading this you probably made it to the New Year(2021). WELL DONE!!
Twenty Twenty has with no doubt been one of the most challenging years for many of us. This is the year that has tested everyone in health, career, finances, relationships and so many other aspects of life. We all thought and had hope that probably the pandemic would be gone by 2021 but here we are.Surviving, planning and persisting through it all. We are still making it happen.
As for me the year did not leave me the same, I have experimented a lot of things. One of them was self-care, this was all about eating well for me and even if I have gained weight, I am grateful because it has been my dream weight. I am genuinely happy and at peace with myself. I started 2 online businesses but currently focusing on one and I do hope to focus on the other sometime when am mentally and financially ready.I did some domestic travels and made many memories with my family. I did enjoy doing it all.
But remember even if you didn’t start a new business, or start a YouTube channel or write a book,or go back to school you made it to the end of 2020.Whether you rested and reflected or were ready and reaped, that alone is a win. YOU MADE IT. We can always strive for better but feel free to stop and smell the roses and be grateful for seeing the year through. Some did not.2020 has taught me that life is not predictable, we can only do what we can at the moment and make the best out of it. To let go and let God, I feel like everyone was forced to learn that lesson.
It’s already 2021 and while a lot is still going on, we do hope and pray for better days. Let us be intentional about our health. This is not about being the perfect size. It is about building our immune system and being healthy. Let us learn to manage our finances, If possible discipline yourself to a budget or figure out ways to create more income. Let’s be more hands on with our families because it’s clear that them being out of sight and out of mind can be a permanent reality at a moment notice.
But how are you managing the New Year so far? As for me, I am carrying the same survival skills for 2020 into the New Year. Forget New Year resolutions. Because if the year taught me anything, it is that we don’t have as much time on the earth as we think we do. So we should love the people that love us, live in the moment as long as it is not uncomfortable and make the most of the time we do have now.
So let’s be the ones that bounce back and be the best we can be in the New Year. We still got to believe. My three words for 2020 were UNPREDICTABLE, LESSONS, GRATEFUL.
How was your 2020 in just three words??
